An exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist with experience in the Construction Industry and an interest gaining experience in a busy Finance Department.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join a well-established and successful company based in Ennis, Co. Clare.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Reviewing and verifying invoices.
  • Sorting, coding and matching invoices before setting them up for payment.
  • Preparation and processing of electronic transfers and payments.
  • Maintenance of vendor files.
  • Ensuring the correct supporting documentation is available for audits.
  • Preparing company reports (cashflow forecast)
  • Vat Return’s (VAT 3, RCT, VIES & Intrastat)
  • Maintaining Company Masterfile’s
  • Perform cash book reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Working to continuously improve the payment processes of your company.

 

Payroll

 

  • Checking Timesheets
  • Calculating wages and salaries
  • Issuing employees’ wages, cheque or electronic transfer
  • Maintain employee data
  • Support resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters
  • Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately
  • Revenue Submission including ERR Reporting
  • Payroll Reporting

 

Candidates will require:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in AccountsPayable & Payroll, preferably not essential
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and efficiently
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
