Accounts Assistant required for a busy manufacturing company based in north Wexford.

Your new company

Ire Wel Pallets Limited (IWP) is Ireland’s leading pallet and packaging manufacturer, supplying pallets, boxes and crates to specifications for their customers. The company’s customer base includes organisations in the medical devices, pharmaceutical, electronic, food and drinks industries in Ireland and the UK. IWP is an essential services company.

Our Business All-Star accreditation is founded on 30 years of performance, trust and customer centricity. With 50 employees currently, the company is in an exciting growth phase and we are now looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Senior Bookkeeper to join our team and grow with us.

IWP is celebrating 30 years in business this year. The company has been growing for a number for years with no halt in sight. You will join the busy accounts team in IWP.

Your new role
You will be tasked with duties such as high-volume invoice and purchase order processing, matching dockets to PO’s, payment allocation, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, month end journals, payroll processing, payment run preparation and general other accounts duties. Completing and processing revenue returns. You will also be tasked with varied administration duties as requested by your line manager.

What you’ll need to succeed
You must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience working in a busy accounts department, ideally manufacturing and have gained exposure to accounts payable, receivables, credit control, stock control, month end reconciliations and provisions. You will have a proven track record of producing accurate information and an excellent attention to detail. You will have payroll processing experience, ideally processing medium volumes on a weekly basis. Strong time management and multi-tasking skills are key to the role. You will have excellent communication skills together with a positive attitude and understand the importance of creating strong relationships with customers, suppliers and staff. Experience with Sage and Thesaurus required. Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent is required. Strong IT skills are necessary. To have a flexible approach and be capable of working as part of a motivated team.
