As part of their ongoing development, our client is  seeking an operationally focused Senior Financial Accountant to join their Team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful candidate will ensure financial reporting is effective and aligns with business objectives. This business is poised for rapid global growth, both organically and by acquisition. Duties and Responsibilities include the following

  • Reporting

o Support of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycle, ensuring it is completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in accordance with IFRS

o Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at month end

o Preparation of related variance analysis

o Preparation and submission VAT return and other statistical filings as required

o Assist with the integration of new acquisitions

o Assist with or lead other Global Projects as required


  • Audit & Tax

o Assist with preparation of Statutory Financial Statements in accordance with local GAAP

o Work with tax advisors to complete the annual Corporation Tax returns in line with statutory deadlines

o Liaise with external auditors to complete the annual Statutory Audit

o Support internal audit processes and reviews


  • Team

o Supervise and review other Financial Accountants’ work

o Mentor junior accountants to ensure growth and development in line with company values


  • Process & Systems

o Drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department

o Work with corporate finance team to assist in the review, design and implementation of financial processes and systems

o Proactively collaborate across multifunctional teams to create an environment that strives for global consistency of best practices


Qualifications Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Recognised professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • 4+ years of experience gained in an international company/multi-cultural environment, preferably Finance Shared Services · Experience managing projects Language Skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
  • Fluency in a European language an advantage Computer Skills
  • Highly proficient with MS Office applications with good understanding and experience of ERP systems – Oracle an advantage Customer Expectations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for adapting and performing in a constantly changing environment
  • Team player who thrives in working both cross functionally and globally
  • Energetic and analytical with a positive approach to problem solving
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality


Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems
  • Occasional international travel and fieldwork may be required


  • Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland
